Our mission and history
GEECI is an initiative with the aim of environmental and biodiversity conservation and protection through sustainable development principles. We are dedicated to environment protection, improvements, and energy conservation that helps foster a greener future and leads to social and economic development in the community at all levels.
Green Environment and Energy Conservation Initiative (GEECI) was co-founded by environmentalist Farooq Bello and engineer Promise Uzondu Chukwu in February 2014 as a non-governmental, non-profit and non-political organization. The organization appeared from the need for participation of great number of citizens in protection and conservation of environment, as well as taking an active role in civil society development through respect for biodiversity, energy efficiency, conservation of available natural resources and efforts on sustainable development.
